The goal and mission of 2012 is to enable families to achieve the impossible. By first impacting the individual, we can then impact the family, and by impacting the family we gain the ability to impact the world. Twelve different families will have the chance to change twelve different nations for the name of Christ. It is with great pleasure that I lay before you the year of 2012, where 12 families will be given the opportunity to change 12 countries for the name of Jesus Christ.

The goal for this year is to allow people the chance to do something radical. For most, a missions trip to a foreign country seems nearly impossible and quite out of reach. However, I would like to suggest that with the help of the Lord, and the sacrifice and surrender in our own lives, we can achieve the impossible. Not only is international missions a goal, but we hope to also bring families together into a healthy, Biblical relationship that will change their lives and outlook on each other, and the world around them.

Simply stated, any family may apply to one of the 12 countries that have been chosen for this project. After applying and securing their spot on one of the trips, information packets with directions on how to work towards their goal will be sent out. The packets will include step by step info on what needs to be done in order to arrive in their country of choice, as well as ideas for saving/raising money, general information to be learned about their country, and basic language to study before going. During each trip, families will be given a devotional guide to do together every day, as well as journaling together and building a bond outside of our American lifestyle and distractions. Before you decide that you don’t have the money, time off of work, or the capabilities needed, ask the Lord if this is something that He wants you to do, and if so, which country He would have you go to. Philippians 4:19 reads, “But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” I find many times that it is not a matter of not having the money, but rather it is an issue of the money is not being placed where it could be. While fundraisers and letter are always a massive part in achieving our missions goal, the goal for this year is to live a year of sacrifice before the Lord. We encourage families to not only look for outlets outside of themselves for support, but to look inward, and question what they can really live without, in order to do something incredible for God. For some, it may be giving up a vacation or a coffee before work. You decide the degree to which you give up, and then ask the Lord to bless that and to make up the difference. “Lead out those who are blind but have eyes, who have ears but are deaf.” Isaiah 43:8 Let us work together to do the impossible.
